Business Challenge:
BRYK Group, founded in 1999 has collected a number of Finance Customers across the ANZ region and provides a successful Managed Services offering for Loan Originations and related financial services by utilising Cloud Services to underpin these offerings and take advantage of scale, flexibility and ease of deployment.
However, the BRYK Group had faced rising infrastructure costs while hosting solutions for their clients as cloud expenses had risen and with increasing requirements for development, testing, and UAT environments, these costs would compound even further. They therefore required a cost-effective solution without sacrificing performance or security.
Solution:
BRYK Consulting leveraged its OCI cloud expertise to migrate BRYK Group’s Client Finance Platform from a legacy cloud system to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), which included the use of:
Oracle Native Ingress Controller
Handled and secured inbound traffic, enabling secure, scalable, and resilient application access while managing complex traffic routing.
Oracle Container Registry
Provided a centralised, secure repository for managing and storing Docker images, ensuring consistent and reliable container deployments across environments.
Visual Builder Studio (VBS) Git
Streamlined source code management, version control, and CI/CD pipelines, enabling automated testing and deployment workflows for accelerated development cycles.
Flux CD
Implemented to automate deployments and synchronise application configurations across Kubernetes clusters, promoting consistency and reducing manual intervention in the continuous delivery pipeline.
Age
Ensured secure encryption of sensitive data and credentials throughout the migration, safeguarding data integrity and compliance with security standards during and after the migration process.
Results:
BRYK Group's migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) resulted in substantial improvements with the relevant business areas and also ensured the Finance Platform was appropriately optimised for long-term successful outcomes. This comprehensive approach enhanced performance, security, and agility, positioning BRYK Group's Finance Platform as a robust, cloud-native solution for its customers:
Enhanced Traffic Management
Optimised traffic flow and scalability through the Oracle Native Ingress Controller, improving application performance while seamlessly integrating with OCI’s load balancing and networking services to ensure reliable and efficient traffic handling.
Improved Automation and Flexibility
Increased automation in deployment and environment management, leveraging Flux CD and other tools, which provided BRYK Group with greater flexibility and control, resulting in faster updates and reduced manual overhead.
Comprehensive Cloud-Native Expertise
Leveraged a suite of OCI tools, including OKE, Oracle Native Ingress Controller, VBS Git, Flux CD, and Age, to fully exploit OCI’s advanced capabilities, aligning the migration with BRYK Group’s business and operational needs.
